Welcome

If you are in distress and seeking support I am here to help. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in both Massachusetts and California and have been practicing psychotherapy since 2013. I offer individual psychotherapy in-person and online for adults and teens. I understand that finding the right therapist can be a challenging and vulnerable process. Take your time to get to know me on here and if things feel right, you can schedule a free 15 minute phone or video consultation for greater reassurance. I am happy to answer any of your questions and hear what you are looking for from our work together.

Therapeutic Focus

What I love about being a therapist is witnessing the ways in which my clients come to untangle their emotional lives and allow a sense of clarity and confidence to grow within themselves. My focus is to help clients process their thoughts and feelings, so their minds can start to work for them rather than against them.

It is natural to feel that we must constantly fight against ourselves, be it our depression, anxiety, unhealthy habits, unwanted memories, or the parts of us that sabotage our most important relationships. It is a fight we often take up by ourselves. I see therapy as an opportunity to take a step back and give our minds some space to breathe. What I have found repeatedly is that when clients give themselves this much needed space and come to trust the therapeutic process, the fighting starts to become unnecessary, and a renewed sense of personal integrity takes its place.

To facilitate this process of healing, I draw primarily from the humanistic and psychodynamic traditions, which emphasize the establishment of a trusting, nonjudgmental relationship between the therapist and the client. I also utilize EMDR and Internal Family Systems Therapy to further deepen a client’s processing, particularly when there is emotional trauma from their past.
